Robert Indiana created the iconic “LOVE” print initially for the Museum of Modern Art’s Christmas card in 1965. This variation features the Spanish word for love, “Amor”. The etching is hand-signed, dated, titled, and numbered in pencil.

The Artist

Robert Indiana

Robert Indiana produced many prints, his first editions being created in the 1960s. Many of Indiana’s prints were lithograph prints though he also created silkscreen. All of Indiana’s prints are original prints as Indiana saw printmaking as a distinct medium to create artworks, including the iconic Robert Indiana Love print.
