Produced in a limited edition of 350, this is a lithograph from the 2002 print set titled Shusaku. Published by Yasukawa as part of Munakata’s annual calendar set.
This print, titled Ame ni mo Makezu” (“Not Defeated by the Rain”), includes the poem of the same title, by Japanese poet Kenji Miyazawa. The poem “Ame ni mo Makezu” is a famous Japanese poem found in Miyazawa’s notebook after his death, expressing a selfless, Buddhist-inspired philosophy.
Printed on a beautifully textured washi paper.
