Notes: In his ‘Mona Lisa’ work, here Virgil Abloh has created a backlit artwork featuring a reproduction of the Mona Lisa. The piece stands as Abloh’s tribute to Leonardo’s iconic painting, commenting that it “balances along the boundary between function and art.” The piece was released in November 2019 and sold out almost immediately.
