Red is a powerful colour that evokes a wide range of feelings, from strong, passionate love to rage and violence, and it stands for both cupid and the devil. It is a fiery, powerful, energising colour that stands for excitement and vigour. According to studies, the colour red can have physiological impacts on the body, including raised blood pressure, increased libido, increased respiration rates, increased metabolism, more enthusiasm, more vitality, and increased self-assurance.

One of the reasons fire vehicles and fire engines are typically painted red is that red is a highly visible colour that may focus attention fast and get people to make quick judgments. Stop signs and stop lights employ the colour red to warn cars about the dangers of the intersection, while flashing red lights indicate danger or an emergency.

The meaning of red denotes strength and bravery. The typical red power tie or red suit in business, as well as the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs, are all based on the colour red. Red is a hue that is frequently used in national flags, on shields, and in award patches because it is associated with valour and bravery.

Redness excess results in irritability, agitation, rage, and oppressive, overpowering, and demanding behaviours. Lack of red results in feelings of lethargy, caution, whining, and manipulation. Green, the antithesis of red, should be added to bring out-of-control emotions under control. Add extra red to eliminate fatigue.

Diverse civilizations assign different meanings to the colour red. Red is a classic hue worn by brides and has symbolic meaning for purity, joy, and celebration in several cultures. Red is considered lucky in China and is a symbol of joy and wealth. Red is the colour of mourning in South Africa, and in Russia, where communists once used a red banner to overthrow the tsar, red is connected with communism. In the United States, the colours red, white, and blue stand for nationalism and pride in the homeland.

Red gemstones are thought to increase zeal and interest, amplify energy, foster confidence, and provide safety from worries and fears.
