Born in Bern, Switzerland, in 1941.
Lives and works in Bern, Switzerland.
Painter, sculptor and poet. He works on questions of perception, distortion, on the presence and the spectator’s look. In 2003 he revisited a photograph of Balthasar Burkhard, edited by Catherine Putman.
« Photography always makes me wonder. It keeps the record of a situation, but it is something more than this. It mantains a close relation with the sculpture I make and this cannot be understood with the sole interaction of different points of view and the use of the spectacular reality. »
