CANEMORTO is an anonymous Italian artist trio active since 2007. Their practice is built around an evolving surreal macro-narrative: masked alter egos, an invented language, and devotion to a canine deity named Txakurra, form the core of a cult-like mythology that frames both their street and studio work. Maintaining strict anonymity, the trio appears publicly only through these masked identities.

All works are conceived and executed collectively “with six hands,” without hierarchies of medium. Painting, sculpture, performance, video, publishing, music, and fashion coexist within a raw, outsider-driven visual language influenced by graffiti, art brut, cartoons, and youth subcultures and across diverse media.

CANEMORTO has exhibited internationally in museums, institutions, and galleries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. As solo exhibitions at MATTA – Gratin (New York), Villa Arson (Nice), Palazzo Vizzani (Bologna), Museo TAM (Matera), Centre Culturel Jean-Cocteau (Paris), Litografia Bulla (Rome), and Viafarini (Milan).
