Monotype on Tiepolo paper. From a series of collaborative monotypes by acclaimed poet, author and critic John Yau and iconic Chicago artist Richard Hull, published by Manneken Press in March 2023. The prints in this series are loosely based on “Wanted” posters of the old Wild West; Yau would write a pithy phrase which served as a prompt for Hull’s abstracted head and shoulder portrait. Signed by both artists in pencil on the front, lower margin.

This print is an ode to two of Yau and Hull’s favorite artists.
