Lower East Side Printshop is pleased to announce this new edition by renowned artist Kate Shepherd, masterfully created in intaglio with chine collé with LESP assistant printer Ian Ruppenthal. Shepherd was invited to the Printshop in late 2024 for a Winter Publishing Residency, which coincided with her celebrated solo exhibition Kate Shepherd: ABC and sometimes Y at Galerie Lelong in New York.
This new editions Windows, two pea greens unite the precision of line etching with a deep exploration of geometry and distillation. As the artist has stated: I’m not making non-representational art, but rather suggestive art. You can see a space, a maquette, imagery that suggests a sculpture.
Known for her minimalistic approach and a keen interest in color, form, and the relationship between negative space and structure, Shepherd has consistently pushed boundaries in her paintings, sculptures, and prints. Her
