Duggins’s experience with animation led him to create this color lithograph which contrasts the fantastical ring of blue butterflies around the truck of a perhaps dying tree. Suffused with metaphor, Duggin’s images invite the viewer to enter and interpret a near-magical world.
This untitled lithograph was created with three plates all hand-drawn by the artist. It is printed onto Somerset velvet soft white paper.
