Atlanta-based artist Radcliffe Bailey constructed multi-layered narratives that explore the history of African Americans, as well as his own personal history and influences. Best known for his three-dimensional paintings composed from vintage photographs, found objects, maps, and painted words, his work progressed into the realm of sculpture and site-specific installations.
