About the Artist: Javier Calleja is a Spanish artist born in 1971 in Málaga, Spain. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Granada where he developed a unique style characterized by playful and whimsical characters often featuring oversized heads and exaggerated features. Calleja’s work has gained international recognition, with significant exhibitions in galleries and art fairs worldwide. He has collaborated with various brands and artists such as Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara. Calleja’s style reflects a contemporary pop aesthetic that resonates with the work of these related artists: Daniel Arsham, KAWS, and Edgar Plans.
