Untitled from The New York Collection for Stockholm
By John Chamberlain
John Chamberlain (1927–2011) was an American sculptor best known for his dynamic works made from crushed and welded automobile parts. Blending Abstract Expressionism with Pop Art sensibilities, Chamberlain transformed industrial scrap metal into colorful, energetic compositions that conveyed movement and emotion. His sculptures celebrate both chaos and form, turning discarded materials into bold, gestural art that challenges traditional notions of beauty and sculpture.
