Established in 2016, Plinth is the one-stop destination for contemporary art and culture, offering essays, interviews and videos alongside beautiful, affordable objects created by world-renowned artists – all in the firm belief that contemporary art should be widely accessible.

From Turner prize winners to Magnum Photographers, artist collaborations are at the heart of what we do, and we have published limited editions and multiples by Michael Craig-Martin, Cornelia Parker, Ding Yi, Julian Opie and Beatriz Milhazes and many more. Our Wellcome Collection range was nominated as a finalist for ACE’s 2018 Product Awards, while our Magnum Photos range was selected for an art and design pop-up at Le Bon Marche in Paris in 2017. We've worked with the Mayor of London’s Culture Team on major public art projects – joining forces with David Shrigley in 2016 and Michael Rakowitz in 2018, we published a new limited edition and ranges of artist-designed products to accompany their Fourth Plinth commissions.

On the strength and breadth of these collaborations, in 2021 Plinth and Holmes Studios founded Sketched, which gives everyone the opportunity to learn from renowned artists, architects and designers, including Maggi Hambling, Richard Wilson, Conrad Shawcross and Assemble Studios. Publishing essays, interviews, and videos, as well as limited-edition prints of pages taken straight from artists’ working sketchbooks, Sketched provides unmatched insight into the creative process.
