Lucy Cooper is a Brighton-based printmaker specialising in limited edition screenprints. Lucy’s prints are characterised by uplifting colour palettes which evoke memories of much-loved places or moments of reflection. She explores interesting yet often unexpected combinations of colour and shape to reinterpret familiar sights in a semi-abstract style. Combining captured images with abstract elements and calligraphic influences, Lucy uses the screenprint process to develop colour and shape while still conveying the original sense of place.
