Limited edition case bound book in a solander box embossed with the name of the Print Studio, i.e. Curwen. The book printed by BAS. Published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Royal Academy, a celebration of 40 years of printmaking at the Curwen Studio.

The wrap around jacket is a hand signed and numbered (in ink) limited edition original lithograph on 130 gsm paper handmade in Margaux, France at the Ruscombe Paper Mill, printed at Curwen itself. The book includes Duotone photos of the Studio in action, text from various people involved in the Studio and prints from 41 reknowned artists each represented by a single print made by the artist at Curwen. Mint condition, and a real piece of art history. Sourced direct from the printers (BAS).

Peter Blake

Peter Blake was born Peter Thomas Blake in England. He is a famous English pop artist. Blake was personally educated at the Gravesend Technical College School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. Peter Blake is known mainly for both painting and printmaking. Without a doubt, one of the most renowned of all his works, is no other than for the co-creating of the sleeve design that went along with the Beatles album called Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was during the late 1950s, that Peter did become one of the very best known, amid all of the British pop artists.
