Description: “Ann in the Studio” (1984) is an etching by David Hockney, created using the aquatint technique on BFK Rives paper, prized for its fineness and quality. This work, printed in an edition of 61 copies, depicts a studio scene in which the figure of Ann, often represented in Hockney’s work, embodies a quiet intimacy characteristic of his most personal compositions.

The graphic treatment of the setting and the attention to light reveal the British artist’s mastery of the art of engraving, combined with a very contemporary figurative sensibility. A rare and emblematic piece from the 1980s.
