This political cartoon originally featured in the Sunday Times…Scarfe has been associated with the paper for over 44 years. The print is signed and numbered in ink by Scarfe in the bottom margin. The title of the print , not hand writtten, also appears in the margin. It features as an illustration in a couple of Scarfe’s books… e.g. “Monsters”…full page 169. Available together with a copy of ‘Monsters’ which is also fully signed by Scarfe and with a written dedication on the title page by him that links with the print as well…creating a sort of special edition! Scarfe is one of our most treasured political cartoonists…and this an iconic image….both items in mint condition.
