From the early and highly iconic series of soup cans by Andy Warhol, Campbell’s Soup I: Beef with Vegetables and Barley, was created by the artist in 1968 as a screenprint in colors on wove paper. Hand-signed in ballpoint pen and numbered with a rubber stamp, the artwork measures 35 x 23 in. (88.9 x 58.42 cm.), unframed, from the edition of 250 and is referenced as FS.II.49 in the artist’s catalogue raisonne.
