Vibrant magenta, yellow, orange, brown, purple, lime green, jungle green, dark green, cerulean, and sky-blue lines take on the organic quality of handmade paper, resulting in this subtle iteration of Gene Davis’ iconic color field stripe paintings. The delicate repeated marks evoke sound waves and rhythm, and the title suggests the colorful costume or dance of a witch doctor.
