A very fine impression with thread margins all round, the margin with a small repair and short associated tear in the lower right corner, a diagonal crease in this same corner, minor dust-marking on the verso, otherwise in very good condition.
In this thoroughly self-referential print, John Smith engraves his own likeness from a painting done by Kneller in 1696, while shown holding a mezzotint he engraved of a Kneller self-portrait painting (presumably CS 150).
