Paris Landscape
No doubt the original was produced during Munakata’s 1959 travels to Europe, “Paris Landscape,” delivers exactly as expected. A widely framed composition featuring a Parisian garden in the foreground and many landmarks in the horizon; Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and Montmartre to name but a few.
This exquisite lithograph, produced from Munakata’s 1959 etching printed on a delicate and textural Japanese ‘washi’ paper, published by Yaskawa as part of their collaborative calendar project.
