Notes: ‘Real One’ depicts one of Nara’s big-headed children holding onto a teddy bear in one hand and scissors in the other. A small skull barrette adorns her hair, while she smiles wickedly at the open pair of scissors. Like other Nara works, the potentially dangerous object in the child’s hand contrasts with her small size and childish innocence.
