This work is a unique piece from Damien Hirst’s Great Expectations series. Hand-signed on the front and numbered on the reverse label, the artwork is delivered ready to hang, with an integrated rear-mounted frame that eliminates the need for additional framing.
Every Great Expectations print exists only once, making each edition a singular opportunity to own an individual work by Damien Hirst. At the heart of this series are grids of pregnant women resembling emojis, their forms constructed from paint spots of different shapes, sizes, and colors drawn from Hirst’s celebrated The Currency series. While the basic structures repeat throughout the collection, each work is individualized by its unique color combinations and attributes.
Referencing some of the most iconic imagery in Hirst’s monumental career, the series was designed to encompass 10,000 works, though not all will be printed—underscoring the rarity and collectibility of each piece.
