The Currency – The Head of a Cow (66/100) is part of Damien Hirst’s innovative Small Change project — a special edition of 100 unique works created from sections of a larger original painting from his groundbreaking The Currency(2021) series. The original work, titled The Head of a Cow (No. 573), was painted in 2016 and later transformed into this intimate enamel-on-paper composition. Each piece is hand-signed, stamped “Hirst” on the reverse, and individually numbered in pencil.
