Maciej Urbaneck captures the tropical foliage of the Everglades, Florida, in this digital print characteristic of his hyper-real imagery. Lush with ‘ferns, all the way to the horizon’, he describes the location as having heat reminiscent of the Caribbean, and an underlying unease provided by the resident crocodiles. Urbanek makes large-scale photographic prints which explore and interpret the distinction between representation and reality. He is currently Photography Tutor in the RA Schools.
