Tracey Emin CBE RA evidences what she calls “the magic and alchemy” of printmaking in this metaphysically-charged work. It’s one of three special prints the artist created for RA Editions.
Emin’s passion for the form comes from its unpredictability and intimacy – you never really know how the final work will look until you turn the paper over. Apparent is the quality of her lines; as in other areas of her practice, she has drawn on her own life experiences.
Emin produced So I Left You while in the RA Schools’ printmaking studios, alongside our students.
All proceeds from the sale of RA Editions prints go directly to support the Royal Academy Schools.
