The original images for The Mountain – Green Flash and Wash House Rain were made from drawings made in Honshu, Japan, in April 2010 whilst waiting to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji through a rain cloud.
This special edition of The Mountain relates to a previous etching of the same name. The inclusion of a protective building or house is a recurring motif in Jones’s work; the small scale of this print lends it an intimate feel.
