Maite Cascón Prints

Maite Cascón’s (b.1991, Madrid) practice centres around a world of figurative images that are rich with metaphor. By using humour and satirical characterisation, she reimagines in her etchings myths and forgotten traditions that embody the challenge of conventional behaviour. After graduating with an MA in Print from the Royal College of Art, Cascón’s work was awarded the Gwen May Award from the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Young Artist Award Society of Women Artists and the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair Prize 2020.
