The Artist

Ronald Grierson

Studied under Ian Macnab at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art 1926-9. Married Enid Martin, a fellow student. Taught at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts 1946-9. Worked as a consultant designer for S.J. Stockwell carpets and designed for Liberty’s and Heal’s. His textiles, designs and archive are held by the V&A where an exhibition of his work was mounted. The British Museum holds 5 prints. Author of ‘Woven Rugs’,1979. Father of the furniture designer, Martin Grierson.
