Original poster produced on the occasion of David Hockney’s 1980 exhibition Modern Graphics 1969 – 1979 at The Arun Art Centre in Arundel, West Sussex. This vintage poster reproduces the artist’s 1969 etching Home, from Illustrations for Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm. This tranquil scene features a plush, claw-foot chair against a tall picture window through which picturesque trees can be seen. A tightly crosshatched carpet against simple line drawing is pure Hockney. A contemporary, black and red sans serif typeface enhances the simple elegance of this poster. It is available with a yellow or white ground, as documented.

Creasing along lower edge and lower right corner. Lower left corner creased, tape and ink residue on verso as photographed.
