This unique print is based on Marc Quinn’s Prismatic Labyrinth series of three prints, which explore and challenge a contemporary surveillance culture in which individual identity is reduced to a fingerprint. The concept of identity has been a constant throughout Quinn’s career, perhaps most famously with his original self-portrait, Self (1991), as well as his Iris works and DNA series. This work receives its unique identity from a hand-painted intervention in oil paint by the artist himself and is signed by the artist.
