A remarkable work of art, An Other Set – X was created by Sam Francis in 1964 as one of eight original lithographs in color in the famed, Pasadena Box portfolio. Printed on Japanese rice paper, then mounted to a silk scroll, this spectacular print is hand-signed in pencil, and numbered, the full scroll measuring 52 x 19 in. (132 x 48.5 cm), unframed. Published by the Pasadena Art Museum, Pasadena, CA, it is from the edition of 100, noted in the artist’s catalogue raisonne as L-65.
