Chris Ofili Prints
Chris Ofili (1968--) is a Turner Prize winning artist born in Manchester. He received a Catholic education before undertaking a foundation course in art at Timeside College in Greater Manchester.
Ofili then moved to London where he studied at the Chelsea School of Art and subsequently the Royal College of Art. His career was established through exhibitions by Charles Saatchi at his gallery in North London. He is notable for being one of the few British artists from an African-Caribbean background associated with the "Young British Artists".
One of Ofili most famous work is 'No Woman No Cry', a mixed media piece that stands upon two large pieces of dried elephant dung.
