Gary Justis projects a graphic revision of ornamental light fixtures popular in the 1930â€™s and 40â€™s in his Floral Filaments series. Â They highlight an anachronistic impression of technology, which was sophisticated for the 1930â€™s, and re-document when and where they fit culturally.
“Rose #1” is an archival pigment print on aluminum. It includes a float mount hanging device and the surface is treated with a thin protective coating, so it requires no framing. If traditional framing is desired the hanging device can be removed and the aluminum panel can be framed.
