The Song of Songs series, (etching, lavis and drypoint), unframed
These images were conceived from the reading of the poem attributed to Solomon “Song of Songs”. I do not consider them illustrations , for me they are evocations and resonances of an experience of the union of complementary opposites treated in the poems. They are attempts to bring me closer to the beauty, strength and unattainable mystery that this work contains and shows to those who seek to unravel it. (text by the artist)
