Thierry Noir is a French artist best known for being one of the first people to paint on the Berlin Wall in the 1980s. Living in West Berlin, he began covering the Wall with his colorful, cartoon-like figures as a form of peaceful protest against its existence. His bold, simple style became iconic, symbolizing freedom and resistance. Noir’s work remains influential in street art and continues to appear in exhibitions around the world.
