Triptychs of squares and circles, Stencil
Series composed of 6 prints, 48x48cm,
Hahnemühle paper 230g, 2016, edition 10
Geometric composition whose focus is on the relation between matter and emptiness. Geometry is used here to highlight the structure that precedes the shape. In this aspect, we see the space between the elements – squares and circles – become increasingly evident in the comparison between modules. Such variation creates an optical effect that accentuates as the viewer approaches or moves away.
(The series was conceived from 3 modules in juxtaposition – triptychs – even though they can be displayed individually- see images 2 and 3).
