Color lithograph using eight aluminum ball grained plates, hand drawn by the artist, then printed using ten mixed colors. Some plates printed with blend rolls.  “Red Roses” was printed onto hand-made Japan natural green Kitakata.

This lithograph is one of a series of prints created between 2000 and 2002 at Flatbed Press in Austin, Texas.  Alexander, who is an excellent draftsman, turned his attention to the natural world of his residence in Amagansett, New York.  “Red Roses” was drawn from his private rose garden there.
