Kaws reinterprets fine art through a commercial lens, applying his background in street art to clothing design, toy production and brand collaboration. His company, OriginalFake, partnered with Medicom toy in 2012 to create this cast vinyl figure of Companion: Resting Place. This particular version shows KAWS’s trademark character “dissected” to reveal human muscles, organs, and a brain under its cartoon-like exterior.
It is in excellent condition. It comes in the original box and packaging, and we offer a guarantee of authenticity (please note that as with many other Kaws figures, there are a number of replica/ bootleg/ fake versions on the market that are very good copies but not authentic Kaws figures so should you buy elsewhere, please be careful).
