Large limited edition lithograph poster on heavy paper with a deckle edge, printed by Stanley Jones at Curwen Studio. Specific technique invented for this lithograph. The poster was printed in two versions, black on white and olive on beige, in 50 of each version. They were sourced directly from the Curwen archive. Two others are with Stanley Jones (Curwen Studio Master Lithographer) and the Henry Moore Foundation at Much Haddam….I know because I donated them!

William Cass replied to an email enquiry regarding this: ‘Thank you for your note – we did use some of the posters and I do still have some at home but have no idea why we didn’t use them  all as they were quite wonderful. With kind regards

The Artist

Henry Moore

In the twentieth century, one of the most important and celebrated British artists was Henry Moore. Renowned for his semi-abstract monumental bronzes, these sculptures can be seen all around the world. Usually a reclining figure and more often than not suggested as feminine, his work evokes analogies between the body and the landscape. The materials Moore used for his sculptures were mainly bronze or marble.
